Whispering Seed

The Whispering Seed is a village based Home for Children and Sustainable Living and Learning Centre working in Myanmar and Thailand since 2004. We are a US registered 501 C3, tax-exempt charitable organization striving to bridge the traditions of sustainability and holistic education through innovative programs, trainings and design, drawing on the richness of local wisdom and traditional cultures along with renewed, socially appropriate models. With a pioneering spirit, Whispering Seed strives to support and build partnerships and collaborations between local groups within Myanmar and South and Southeast Asia, as well as with the international community. By supporting the diversity of cultures and richness of traditional wisdom within Myanmar along with the integration of new models for learning and sustainable development we are searching for creative solutions to the variety of challenges which Myanmar will face throughout the next critical years of development. WS is focused on five critical areas of development. With a holistic and integrated approach we aim to support the growth and development of a new society which is representative of the rich diversity of peoples and cultures of Myanmar. The five areas of focus are: 1. Children & Youth 2. Holistic Education 3. Pioneers in Sustainability 4. Mindfulness, Health & Well-being 5. Vocational Skills

Touch the Nations

Networking and resourcing grass roots initiatives in developing countries. Our mission is, " Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it is in your power to act." These initiatives currently include the following: * In Sierra Leone: providing Ebola relief, building and supporting orphanages and schools, and digging wells and sanitary facilities * In Burundi: building and supporting an orphanage and facility for single mothers; ensuring nursing and support for abandoned babies, and giving microloans and training for widows * In Ethiopia: providing financial support of a pediatric surgical center.

(NOE) exists to assist persons who are physically and mentally disabled and otherwise vocationally handicapped to maximize their independent living capability, eliminate abuse and dependence on substances and enhance employability and economic independence through the provision of integrated: Personal and Social Adjustment Training Programs, Advocacy, Vocational, Educational, and Psychological Assessment, Psychological Services, Residential Services, Community Placement Employment Programs, and Substance Abuse Services. Kuhn Employment Opportunities

Kuhn Employment Opportunities, Inc. is a non-profit human services organization committed to helping people with disabilities find and retain employment as well as participate in meaningful day support programs. From its humble beginnings in 1962 using Ernest B. Kuhn's small garage to serve a handful of young people, Kuhn has grown to approximately 450 participants who are supported in a variety of diverse programs. The agency provides person-centered program planning, job skill assessment opportunities, job development, on-the-job training and supervision, and transportation services to meet individual needs.
