At the time of this writing there are over 26,000 children attending San Diego County schools who have been identified as food insecure, meaning they don't know where their next meal will come. Their primary source of nutrition is the school cafeteria food they receive Monday through Friday. Many of them have nothing of nutritional value to eat on the weekends. Our mission is to provide weekend meals to children with the inability to thrive due to lack of nutritious food in their homes. We do this by filling backpacks full of nutritious food for these children to take home on the weekends. Each backpack contains 2 breakfasts, 2 lunches, 2 dinners, and a few healthy snacks, enough meals to sustain them through Saturday and Sunday.

To ensure that everyone who needs a healthy meal in our community can get one.

We will end hunger by efficiently procuring and distributing food and essentials to the hungry, through our programs and partner agencies.

The William James Association promotes work service in the arts, environment, education, and community development.

EVA is a non-profit organization recognized by the Internal Revenue Service and registered in the State of Illinois. It was created for the purpose of assisting Ecuadorian institutions devoted to educational, social, and health programs for the poor, neglected, and at-risk segments of the population. EVA is run by volunteers, and the various programs are implemented through network of viable, non-profit Ecuadorian institutions previously selected by a careful screening process. EVA requires that all the funds collected and distributed as yearly grants be only used for programmatic objectives of the organization it sponsors. EVA's Community Assistance Grant was instituted in 2008 to improve the quality of life of economically disadvantaged people living in the Chicago Metropolitan area where EVA is located. I Since its inception, we have been giving opportunities to advance educational, health, and human service programs in the local community.

Food Bank of Central New York is a not-for-profit organization working to eliminate hunger through nutritious food distribution, education, and advocacy in cooperation with the community.

The Community FoodBank of New Jersey's mission is to fight hunger and poverty in New Jersey by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions. We engage, educate and empower all sectors of society in the battle. Working together with volunteers, donors and our many partners, we work to fill the emptiness caused by hunger with Food, Help and Hope.
