BBSEF (formerly Bogus Basin Ski Racing Alliance) was founded in 1967, to provide training and competition programs for aspiring young ski racers. Today BBSEF has grown to include freeskiing and snowboard programs. BBSEF has programs for ages 6 -19 who want to compete in alpine ski racing, freeskiing & snowboarding. Our focus is the development of the athlete as a whole. We believe the overall impact of sports goes well beyond the athletic results, instilling: sportsmanship, accountability, building character and confidence. Sports bring opportunities to make new friends, dream, and work toward the future. It’s no surprise that the Athletes of BBSEF have gone on to become collegiate scholars, Olympians, and leaders in their communities. The NBRPA Dallas Chapter was formed in 2013 and is a 501c3 organization committed to improving the quality of life for citizens both in and outside of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex through mentoring public speaking, presenting basketball clinics and life skills seminars targeting youth groups. This year’s event will benefit the Agnes Greene Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of North Texas, and the New Beginning Orphanages International (www.nboi.org), whose purpose is to build communities of support for orphanages in Kenya and South Africa.

Founded in 1996 by Hall of Fame rhythmic gymnast, Wendy Hilliard, the Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation “WHGF” was formed to provide free and low cost gymnastics for youth. Wendy was inspired to begin the foundation after training her athlete, Aliane Baquerot, for the 1996 Olympics. The goal was to provide children with the opportunity that Wendy had in gymnastics. In the late “70 ‘s the City of Detroit Recreation Department hired four gymnastics coaches from the former Soviet Union. Lead by Drs. Vladimir and Zina Mirinov; the Detroit Metro Gymnastics Team produced Olympians, National Champions and numerous US National Gymnastics Team members. As the Captain of the Detroit Metro Gymnasts, Wendy travelled the world representing her city and was the first African American to represent the United States Rhythmic Gymnastics.
SCOPE (Summer Camp Opportunities Promote Education) provides children from underserved communities with life changing opportunities through the experience of summer camp. SCOPE funds camp scholarships “camperships” to send children who commit to staying in school to nonprofit, resident camps which will empower them to develop to their full potential.
