As the national voice for hikers, American Hiking Society helps preserve and protect the hiking trails and natural areas that hikers cherish and seek for exploration, exercise and education.

To protect and preserve the art and practice of falconry for future generations and to protect falconers’ rights, we hereby declare ourselves as a non-profit organization known as American Falconry Conservancy established in 2002 – an organization dedicated to the art of hunting with trained raptors. It is also our intention to pursue the broadest liberties possible that are not in conflict with legitimate conservation efforts based upon sound biological and legal reasoning. Citizens have a right to practice falconry within the confines of ecologically and ethically responsible behavior, and it is the intention of AFC to defend this right.

- To promote stamp collecting to people of all ages- To offer services to the membership and to philately in general, including knowledge and education, which enhance the pleasure and friendliness of stamp collecting- To initiate and coordinate new programs for the benefit of stamp collecting and of all collectors- To represent the United States in the world body of philately- To assist members in acquiring and disposing of philatelic materials

As such, IRC directs projects geared toward the revitalization of the whole person and whole community.
