The mission of World Cataract Foundation is to help the world to see by eliminating cataract blindness throughout the world. Over 25 million people worldwide suffer from cataract blindness, with the vast majority living in developing nations. Most remain blind because of poverty and no access to surgical eye care. The cure for cataract blindness involves a safe, simple surgery that costs only a few dollars and takes just a few minutes. Yet many will not receive this sight-giving surgery unless someone brings it to them. This is the commitment of the WCF. Through volunteer medical teams, the WCF is helping the world to see through surgery, training and equipping.

We are a volunteer-led registered charity. Set up in 2015 in response to the Syrian war crisis but we aim to assist wherever there is need.we have delivered aid throughout Europe, Turkey, Lebanon & Syria. With 2 widow and orphans centres.volunteers pay their travel costs. 100% donations policy!
