Our Mission

The Colchester East Hants Health Centre Foundation is a registered charitable organization providing funding to enhance patient care at the Colchester East Hants Health Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia.

Since 1989, the Foundation has invested more than $40 million in equipment purchases, patient care and facility enhancements. The Foundation is governed by an 18-member voluntary board of directors with representatives from the local community and the hospital. Funds are raised through planned and major gift solicitation, mail appeals, special events, memorial gifts and other fundraising activities.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Foundation is very proud to note the successful conclusion of its $26 million to our health campaign to build a new hospital, the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, which opened in November 2012, as well as the successful conclusion of the $1,055,000 MRI campaign.
