Brad and Vicki Margus founded the A-T Children's Project when two of their young sons were diagnosed with A-T in 1993. Ataxia-telangiectasia is a genetic disease that attacks in early childhood. It progressively affects coordination, predisposes children to lethal cancers, and severely compromises their immune systems. Children with A-T are usually unable to walk by the age of ten and rarely live beyond their teens. By supporting and coordinating aggressive research, we hope to give them a chance to live and to enjoy life's possibilities.

OneWorld Health (a drug development affiliate of PATH) is a nonprofit drug development organization. The program works to develop and ensure availability and accessibility of safe and effective new medicines for diseases disproportionately affecting people in developing countries.
