To provide affordable, accessible, quality health care, promote learning opportunities for students of health professions, and end homelessness and improve quality of life in our communities.

Brother, Help Thyself Inc. (BHT) is a community based organization that provides financial and other support to non-profit organizations serving the LGBTQ and HIV/AIDS communities in the Baltimore/Washington, D.C. metro area. Brother, Help Thyself was founded in 1978 by four gay motorcycle clubs and is one of the first organizations in the United States to provide funding for LGBTQ health, cultural, and social services. The first fund drive by the capital area board of leather and Levi motorcycle clubs raised $4,518. BHT was formed to award that grant to the gay men’s vd clinic which was having financial difficulties at that time. During the past 38 years, we have raised and distributed over $3 million to more than 130 groups in our community. Brother Help Thyself raises funds throughout the year and then disburses direct and matching funds, partners with grantees on fundraisers and other events, acts as a clearinghouse for donated goods and services, and serves as an information resource to the LGBTQ community.

The National Cued Speech Association supports effective communication, language development (international languages) and literacy in families with deaf, hard of hearing or learning disabled infants, children and youth through the use of cued speech.

Arrowhead will motivate youth at risk to become productive and responsible young men and women by providing the highest quality counseling, education and social services to youth and their families.

Since 2001, CECO has been providing hope for families that have been searching for the place where the impossible is possible. CECO offers a special needs school day kindergarten through 12th grade, summer camp, early intervention ages 6 months to 4 years old and walking challenge program. Conductive Education is a unique, holistic educational approach to help children with cerebral palsy and other motor disabilities achieve their greatest level of independence through physical and cognitive activities.

Community Based Services, Inc. (CBS) is a not-for-profit organization that provides the highest level of individualized care for people with autism and developmental disabilities in home and community-based settings. Founded in 1981 by Kevin J. McCarthy, community based services was among the first agencies to help serve and support the people of the Hudson Valley region.

Days for Girls is turning periods into pathways: We increase access to menstrual care and education by developing global partnerships, cultivating Social Entrepreneurs, mobilizing volunteers and innovating sustainable solutions that shatter stigma and limitations for women and girls.

The Chromosome 18 Registry & Research Society is a lay advocacy organization composed primarily of the parents of individuals with a chromosome 18 abnormality. We consist of three separate organizations located in the United States, Australia, and Europe, all with a common mission: to help people with chromosome 18 abnormalities overcome the obstacles they face so they may lead happy, healthy, and productive lives.
