We practice the science of helping people make changes in their lifestyle to improve their overall health and quality of life emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Founded in 2000, Cayenne Wellness Center and Children's Foundation grew out of the need to offer effective and exemplary service to those suffering with sickle cell disease, unhealthy eating habits and poor mental health.
Storehouse West, incorporated in 1992, is an volunteer-staffed, community-supported food pantry assisting residents of Sandoval County. We give a week's supply of food to qualifying low-income families and Senior Citizens and those having short-term emergencies, such as a job loss, husband leaving, loss of food stamps or unexpected additional family members living with them. Clients' children to teen years are eligible to receive gently-used clothing plus new underwear and socks. Some Federal Emergency Management Agency funds are received to assist those with rent/mortgage and utility bills. We are very supportive of the philosophy of the Dept. of Human Services and are firm in encouraging applicants to take advantage of the Dept. of Labor assistance in job finding, Food Stamps, Medicaid, and the other various job training programs available.
The primary purpose of the Fairbanks Community Food Bank Service is to provide food for hungry people and to distribute surplus food that would ordinarily be discarded. All locally collected food is to be distributed without charge.
Open Heart Kitchen serves prepared, nutritious meals free of charge to the hungry people of the Tri-Valley area.
The GOD'S CHILD Project's mission is "to break the bitter chains of poverty through education, housing and healthcare." While GOD'S CHILD is rooted in education and health-care, we aim to support the communities we serve at every level of development. Through our wide range of programs, we help children and families living in extreme poverty to meet their basic needs and find a restored sense of hope, self-worth and human dignity. Religious affiliation is not a requirement for any program services.

Receive contributions and engage in fundraising activities for furtherance of the purposes and objectives under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954, as amended.
