The organization promotes the sport of American football and cheerleading in the communities of Rumson and Fair Haven, New Jersey. The orgainzation does this by fielding between 5 and 12 youth football teams each fall that participate in the Jersey Shore American Youth Football League. We also field between 2 and 12 youth cheerleading squads. The children are taught the fundamentals of American football by volunteer coaches. These volunteer coaches are subject to background checks and are required to participate in minimum coaching and safety training programs.The Organization's activities are funded primarily through registration fees and fundraising activities (including concession stand, clothing sales and an ad journal).The primary expenses of the organization relate to insurance, equipment, facilities and referee fees.

Headquartered at Loon Mountain Ski Resort in Lincoln, NH and at the Bretton Woods Ski Resort at Omni Mount Washington Resort NEDS has become a nationally recognized program, providing expert adaptive sport instruction to adults and children living with physical and cognitive disabilities

We advocate public policy that ensures opportunity, we promote champion athletes and coaches as role models, we encourage parents to nurture their daughter's sports interests, we work toward gender equity in sports, and we help shape public attitudes about women athletes and sports for women.
Our mission is to provide quality sports programming, positive experiences, and leadership opportunities to underserved communities in the Washington DC area, specifically children with disabilities and kids struggling with a lack of financial resources. We come to the kids, providing programming in their local communities.
