Chartered in 1934, the Animal Defense League of Texas (ADL) is the oldest no-kill shelter for abandoned, abused, or neglected dogs and cats in South Central Texas. Through the operation of two facilities, a centrally located 12-acre campus and the city-owned Paul Jolly Center for Adoptions, ADL saves the lives of vulnerable animals primarily originating from the most poverty-stricken communities in San Antonio. A full veterinary hospital housed on the main campus provides spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and microchipping for all pets in ADL’s care. In addition, ADL performs specialized surgeries for animals with complex medical conditions and is the first organization to provide no-cost mobile wellness clinics to historically underserved areas. ADL’s partnership with Animal Care Services (ACS) is instrumental in helping the City of San Antonio back to achieving a “No-Kill” status.

Kitty Bungalow Charm School for Wayward Cats is California's only 100% feral cat rescue and socialization facility. As shelter interventionists, we focus our attention on the most vulnerable of felines -- feral cats and kittens. Our one hundred weekly volunteers, who use force-free socialization techniques, take street cats from 'hiss to home'. Each year, through TNR and Working Cat programs, we place a thousand feral cats in safe locations, and intake hundreds of feral kittens. As a 501c3, we rely on community donations and support. Only through working together can we continue to offer life saving services to LA's abandoned cats and kittens. Change a cat's life, today through a donation. As the only open-access shelter in the Nation’s Capital, the Washington Humane Society provides comfort and care to nearly 30,000 animals each year through its broad range of programs and services including sheltering for homeless animals, a comprehensive adoption program and off-site adoption events to find new families for the animals in our care, low-cost spay and neuter for pet owners and other local organizations, an aggressive TNR (trap-neuter-return) program for feral cats (CatNiPP), investigations of each allegation of animal cruelty or neglect through the Humane Law Enforcement, lost and found services to help reunite lost pets with their families, pet behavioral advice to help resolve issues that lead to animals being relinquished to shelters, working with breed rescue groups to find more homes for more animals, volunteer and foster programs to allow other members of the community to help us help more animals and an award-winning Humane Education program that teaches kindness to animals to the next generation of animal lovers.

The purpose of Southern Sun Farm Sanctuary is to provide a safe, secure place for abandoned, abused, neglected or retired equines Some are adopted into loving homes, some can have useful lives here as riding horses and some are simply "pasture potatoes". No matter their outcome, all are treasured.
