Chappy and Friends has two main functions: One function is facilitating tax-deductible fundraising for animal hospitals to help fund emergencies for animal parents in a financial bind. Our other function is as an “incubator” for non-exempt animal welfare projects. Chappy & Friends helps organizations on the front lines of animal welfare to come into existence, to grow, and to sustain themselves.

Friends of the Pflugerville Animal Shelter is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) group that raises funds and coordinates volunteers to support Pflugerville Animal Welfare Services. They focus on medical care, supplies, enrichment, and adoption support to improve outcomes for sheltered animals and reduce unnecessary euthanasia.

Rainbow Bridge Hospice Rescue focuses on saving senior and medically fragile dogs that are often overlooked by shelters. They provide hospice-style, foster, and adoption care—giving these animals compassionate medical attention and a loving home environment so they can live their final chapter with comfort and dignity.

Snake River Animal Shelter is a no‑kill, nonprofit animal shelter whose work focuses on improving and saving animal lives in eastern Idaho by providing shelter, veterinary care (including spay/neuter and vaccinations), adoption services, and humane-education programs for the community.

Take Paws Rescue is a volunteer, foster‑based 501(c)(3) that rescues dogs from overcrowded or at‑risk shelters in Louisiana, places them into foster homes for vetting and socialization, and works to rehome them through adoption and partnerships with other rescues.

Dog Orphans is a long‑standing, no‑kill dog shelter that rescues stray, homeless and unwanted dogs and cares for them until they find permanent homes. The organization also promotes responsible dog ownership — including spay/neuter — and avoids euthanasia except when an animal’s health or temperament makes it necessary.
