As the oldest and most comprehensive animal welfare organization in the state, we provide care for over 43,000 homeless and companion animals annually. For more than 128 years, we have been committed to serving the needs of the people and animals in the community and across the region as a 4-Star Charity Navigator rated nonprofit ranking in the top 1 percent nationally. We are dedicated to enforcing animal cruelty laws; providing a safe haven for homeless, abused and abandoned pets while they await adoption; reducing pet over-population through spay/neutering; and cultivating their humane treatment through education and service as a valuable community resource.

Nebraska Wildlife Rehab rescues, medically treats, and rehabilitates injured, sick, and orphaned native Nebraska wildlife and migratory birds for return to the wild; it also works to preserve and restore native habitats and provides education and outreach to engage and inform the public.
