Santa Monica Mountains Fund (SAMO Fund) is dedicated to the mission of preserving, protecting, and enhancing the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA). Our mission encompasses a commitment to safeguarding the unique ecosystem of the area, fostering a deep connection between people and nature, and supporting the National Park Service in its endeavors. This includes a focus on youth education, scientific research, improvement of park facilities, community stewardship, and the preservation of indigenous cultural resources. This vision is rooted in the belief that sustainable practices and community engagement are key to preserving the ecological and cultural richness of the Santa Monica Mountains for future generations.

The Center for Whale Research conducts long‑term scientific monitoring of Southern Resident killer whales — including annual censuses and health assessments — to inform conservation policy and ecosystem recovery. It also runs public outreach and education programs (including an outreach center) to raise awareness and support for orca and habitat protection.

Center for Wildlife is a private, non-profit organization whose mission is to cultivate and strengthen relationships between humans, wildlife and the environment resulting in a healthier, more sustainable community. Florida Wildlife Hospital is open 365 days a year to admit native Florida wildlife. On average, 5,000 animals are admitted per year and there is never a charge for patient care. Our mission is to keep wildlife wild by providing quality, compassionate care. We support this mission by focusing on: • Providing quality care through networking, continued education, and medical advancements • Releasing only mentally and physically “sound” native Florida wildlife that can positively contribute to the ecosystem in their intended way • Acting as the front lines for disease detection, treatment, and prevention • Empowering our community through education to protect native Florida wildlife and their natural environment • Providing a place to give back through volunteering and donations • And more

Penguins International is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and protecting penguins around the world. To accomplish this mission, we actively engage in penguin conservation, we educate the public on threats to penguins, and we conduct scientific research investigations to understand penguin biology and best methods for conservation, three activities that go hand-in-hand to fully understand these amazing species of birds and protect them for all to cherish. The Friends of the Elephant Seal (FES), a non-profit organization established in 1997, is dedicated to educating people about elephant seals and other marine life and teaching stewardship for the ocean along the central coast of California. As a cooperating association with the California State Park, FES collaborates with the California Department of Parks and Recreation to address issues of the expanding Piedras Blancas northern elephant seal colony. Board members and over 100 docents/volunteer guides are uniquely positioned to contribute to education, science, research and wildlife conservation efforts relating to the largest mainland colony, estimated at 25,000 northern elephant seals.

Space for Giants USA funds and supports conservation efforts that protect Africa’s elephants and the landscapes they require. The organization focuses on landscape conservation, reducing human–wildlife conflict, strengthening wildlife law and justice, and building local economic value for conservation so communities and governments have tangible reasons to protect wildlife and open ecosystems.
