PATV’s mission is to promote and produce television programming of an educational, literary, cultural and civic nature. Our programming reflects the diversity and interests of our community and residents. PATV aims to heighten community awareness and increase community participation through the making and viewing of local television, and to encourage programming to reflect the concerns, interests and activities of our community.

With a powerful, independent voice, we spur transformations in consciousness and inspire both policy change and direct action.Truthout aims to connect with a big-tent audience of as many readers as possible, and we reach 9 million unique visitors per year. However, through our journalism, we overwhelmingly work to uplift issues and movements impacting BIPoC, working-class, LGBTQ, disabled and immigrant communities. Our staff and board are majority-BIPoC, reflecting this commitment.
