Safeplan Uganda is a youth-founded and focused organization addressing the challenges youth face in finding employment opportunities in Uganda. The organization's main purpose "is empowering young people through skills and awareness to enhance their potential in becoming responsible citizens" - in short, create sustainable jobs for young people. The organization achieves its purpose through five broad program areas: Health, Environmental Awareness, Education, Gender, and ICT (Information and Communications Technology). Mission Statement We are committed to the enhancement of holistic care and assist urban dwellers and particularly rural youth and women, their local leaders and communities through networking and partnership. VISION To ensure a sound and social economically productive society where young people and other vulnerable citizens live and deliver to their full potential. Overall Goal An enlighten and empower communities working together to build a sustainable future for all Ugandan people Description of the activities The organization is strongly community oriented; it actively engages with youths, women, community elders and church leaders to help identify youths below 30 years of age, targeting nearly all school dropouts, for its programs. Safeplan Uganda is geared towards "supplementing what the government is doing for the local youth" as it recognizes that the government is not able to fully support what the "community youth need and deserve". Safeplan's understanding that "there is a need to help the youth help themselves" has led to its programming in livelihoods skills training. There are three programs at Safeplan currently: 1 - Technical skills training (carpentry and tailoring) 2 - Energy-efficient cook stoves Promoting renewable energy products across the district 3 - Budongo Women Bee Enterprise (BUWOBE) (the Prize-winning activity) Reports & Updates 1- Technical skills training-up to 50 youths have been training in Carpentry and tailoring since 2017 with the merger resources in the organization with community support. The youths are trained locally and supported to acquire national certificate from the Directorate of Industrial Training accredited certifying body by the government of Uganda. 2- Promotion of energy efficient cooking technology-more than 500 solar lantern have been sold since 2017, 12,000 cook stoves sold to community to reduce fuel consumption. More than 1000 women trained in construction of energy cooking technology in refugee settlement camps in northern Uganda Arua District. 3-Budongo women Bee enterprise-(BUWOBE) the two time award winning project has reached more than 300 women with bee keeping skills since 2014. To date the project is empowering 30 more youths and women with skills in bee keeping, business and leadership skills in Nyantonzi village. This particular project has been made possible by YouthPower learning program PROUDLY support by the United State Agency for International Development. (USAID)

Dufatanye Organization of Rwanda mission is to combat HIV/AIDs, malnutrition, and poverty through improved agricultural practices and by focusing on vulnerable populations in areas with high malnutrition and extreme poverty.

MISSION: The mission of IFRD is to develop a global friendly association of Rotarian Doctors and Allied Professionals who will support and promote Rotary International and its goals in their respective roles as physicians, scientists, and healers, to bring about world peace and understanding through high ethical standards in Service and Fellowship OBJECTIVES To encourage fellowship among Doctors and other health workers by arranging regular meetings in each area/district/region, and a get-together at International Conventions an Annual General Meeting ("AGM"). To encourage participation in large scale health programs by volunteering, giving advice or service in other countries; also visiting and offering training, as well as, experiencing practice in other countries. To maintain contact with other members of the Fellowship in adjacent or distant areas by visits, exchange programs or telemedicine and related activities. "Connecting Cambodian Youth to the skills, opportunities, and inspirations needed to reach their potential." This is the mission of PEPY Empowering Youth, a local non-profit (NGO) focused on educating and empowering youth in underserved and remote communities outside of Siem Reap city. With their team's intimate understanding of barriers affecting students' ability to move onto higher education (many team members are former beneficiaries of PEPY's projects), PEPY staff often become student's first role models while building their capacity to achieve their dreams through academic, technical, and professional training- enabling them to make changes they wish to see in their communities. Through PEPY, students' rates of moving onto higher education and obtaining skilled employment are increasing. PEPY's approach to education development is different because they focus on high school and higher education students, an age group often overlooked, while targeting remote areas where higher education is uncommon and often financially impossible. PEPY's programs are comprehensive and go beyond typical scholarship programs, guaranteeing that students graduate and all of them find jobs while they are still in school.

To fight against hunger in the region, with a solidarity spirit, by giving trustable food supplies, nutritional education and training for a self-sufficient alimentary nourishment.

Achvat Amim ("Solidarity of Nations" in Hebrew) is a unique five month volunteer program based in Jerusalem, for participants ages 21 to 30, that directly engages with the reality of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through grassroots human rights work and critical education, based on the core value of self-determination for all peoples. Our vision is a reality of peace, justice, and self-determination for all peoples in this land, within a framework where the full human, civil, and political rights of all people and peoples are recognized and actualized. As experienced community organizers in Israel-Palestine, we know that the best way to approach challenging social and political problems is to engage people in meaningful processes of self-examination, empowerment, and relationship building. In parallel, we need to create spaces for communities to develop shared goals and strategies for positive social change, rooted in their unique identities and traditions. Our mission is to build a movement to support self-determination for all peoples, starting with an empowered and educated Jewish community which acts in partnership and solidarity with Palestinians and Israelis. As Jewish educators and activists, we have identified three strategies: 1. transform our own Jewish community to act from a place of empathy, compassion and meaningful identity, 2. bring more people into the movement, in partnership and solidarity with Palestinians and Israelis, and 3. develop leaders within the movement for self-determination for all people and peoples. Achvat Amim's methods - sustained processes of living, learning, and working in partnership across various divisions - allow growing relationships of trust and solidarity to emerge between participants, partner organizations, and staff, between Israelis, Palestinians and others.

DDing Dong plans to become a multi-purpose organization that helps queer teens to rest, play, have meals, sleep, wash up, study, learn about human rights and supports them to be independent. It will also strive to become a professional safe house that operates 24 hours.
