Through grassroots programs and sustainable projects, we seek to advance the human rights of women and girls in both the developed and developing world and promote gender equality. Our emphasis is on investing in women and girls and we strive to provide them with an opportunity to develop independence, self-esteem, self-confidence and a sense of security whether physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual. Our primary focus is to go to the places where women and girls are most vulnerable and work with local communities in order to provide the essentials for a life of dignity and inclusiveness. We promote action for systemic change and sustainable development through solidarity and partnership, by nurturing community, and by maintaining an integral, vital and stable organization. We also seek to build bridges between communities in both developing and developed nations in order to engender a sense of global community and global interdependence. Aura Freedom International is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-religious organization and we seek to cooperate with individuals, businesses and organizations from all backgrounds in our efforts to empower, support and educate those in need. When you empower a woman, she becomes a catalyst for positive change whose success benefits everyone around her. When you educate a girl, she brings the world peace, equality and FREEDOM.

City Year’s mission is to build democracy through citizen service, civic leadership and social entrepreneurship. It is through service that we can demonstrate the power and idealism of young people, engage citizens to benefit the common good, and develop young leaders of the next generation. City Year is wholly focused on fighting the national dropout crisis. City Year unites young individuals (corps members) age 17-24 from diverse ethnic, educational and socio-economic backgrounds to engage in a year of full-time service, leadership development and civic engagement. We have committed to leverage the talent, energy and idealism of corps members to serve as tutors, mentors and role models in schools to help students stay on track – and get back on track – to graduate high school.
