MUSEUM DEVELOPMENT AND OPERATION

The museum's official mission statement is "Where stories of military and civilian aviation and March Field come alive." This mission is typically expressed (in publicity, marketing, and internal training materials) as "The March Field Air Museum is a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to promoting an understanding of humanity's reach for the skies and March Field's pivotal role in the development of flight." The museum's slogan is "Reach for the Skies!"

The Eastbay Astronomical Society serves Bay Area residents and astronomy enthusiasts with events, classes, and Oakland’s premier views of the universe.

The mission of the California Science Center is to stimulate curiosity and inspire science learning in everyone by creating fun, memorable experiences, because we value science as an indispensable tool for understanding our world, accessibility and inclusiveness, and enriching people’s lives.

The San Diego Air & Space Museum is unique to the Southern California region and serves the public through its mission to:Preserve…Inspire…Educate…Celebrate! The National Marine Life Center rehabilitates and releases stranded marine mammals and sea turtles in order to advance science and education in marine wildlife health and conservation.
