We meet the critical needs of homeless children across North Texas by providing necessities including diapers, clothing, school supplies, toys and programs to enhance their lives.

Founded in 2005, the mission of Yellow Ribbon Fund is to provide support to severely wounded, injured or ill American service members, their caregivers, and families during lengthy medical recovery and reintegration into civilian life. Our Crossroads Program provides assistance to active duty and disabled service members and their families through lodging, temporary housing, local transportantion, and other support while the service member or veteran is receiving medical treatment away from home at Walter Reed Hospital in Bethesda, MD. Our Keystone Program follows the service member and family back to their hometown to provide support, encouragement, and bonding with military families with similar medical issues. The program provides wellness, educational, fitness, and social programs to aid the healing process and strengthen the family. Retreats provide respite from the daily grind of coping with medical issues. Our recipients rely on our donors to relieve the huge financial burden caused by temporay stays in the Bethesda area for treatment and to help build a local community of compatriots in their hometown.

Approximately 3,000 children in Dallas go to sleep each night without a home of their own. We’re on a mission to help young children overcome the lasting and traumatic effects of homelessness. It is our vision that every child in our community has a home, a self-sufficient family and a foundation for success in school and life — and the clock is ticking. 90% of brain development happens by the age of five. Without intervention at this critical time, homeless children may suffer lifelong social, emotional and educational deficits. That’s where we come in. And YOU can help.

Using Rotary Foundation grants, Rotary’s 34,000 clubs across the globe develop and carry out sustainable humanitarian projects and provide scholarships and professional training opportunities that promote peace, fight disease, provide clean water, sustain mothers and children, improve education, and strengthen local economies. The Foundation is a worldwide leader in the effort to eradicate polio through its partnership with the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. When Rotary launched its PolioPlus program in 1985, more than 350,000 people were afflicted with polio each year, and the disease was endemic in more than 125 countries. Since 1988, Rotary and its partners in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative have immunized over 2.5 billion children, reducing the incidence of polio by 99 percent and eradicating it from all but three countries. Rotary has contributed more than US$1 billion and many thousands of hours to the eradication effort. The Foundation also funds the training of hundreds of peacemakers through the Rotary Peace Centers program, which enables fellows to pursue a master’s degree or professional certificate at one of Rotary’s partner universities. Through academic training, study, and practice, the fellows become leaders who promote peace and aid conflict resolution in their communities and around the world.

SafeSpace (Safespace Inc.) provides crisis intervention, emergency shelter and advocacy for adult survivors of domestic violence and their children across Florida’s Treasure Coast (Indian River, Martin and St. Lucie counties). The organization operates a 24/7 hotline, emergency shelters, legal advocacy, counseling and prevention/education programs to help survivors achieve safety and independence; services are provided free to those who seek help.

Northwest Harvest is a food justice organization in Washington state. We build partnerships in communities across Washington to get food where it’s needed most. We provide an average of two million meals each month through our statewide network of more than 350 food banks, meal programs, schools, and community-based organizations. Part of a justice-centered movement, we advocate to change inequitable policies, practices, and institutions that perpetuate hunger and poverty. Together, we ensure communities across our state can access the nutritious food they want and need to thrive.

Our mission is to: a) contribute to a fully functioning, peaceful, abundant and biologically diverse Earth through co-operative efforts for the ecological restoration of degraded lands; b) stimulate and support community based initiative, leadership, and capacity to implement activities and undertake interventions that result in restored ecological function, climate resilience, biodiversity enrichment, and restored water cycles while at the same time enhancing livelihoods and human well-being; c) disseminate knowledge, innovations and insights emanating from these community-based initiatives to policy makers, academia, practitioners and the general public; and d) train large numbers of people to restore the fundamental ecological integrity of earth, and to connect knowledge and expertise about these activities worldwide.

Food Gatherers' mission is to alleviate hunger and eliminate its causes in the Washtenaw County community by: reducing food waste through the rescue and distribution of perishable and non-perishable food, coordinating with other hunger relief providers, and educating the public about hunger and developing new food resources. Food Gatherers also manages and operates a direct service Community Kitchen located in the Delonis Center in downtown Ann Arbor, a Job Training Program in the food service industry to young people at risk of homelessness, and several other community food programs.
