The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of San Mateo County (SVdP) provides Safety-Net services for families and individuals in our community who are often suffering, forgotten, and deprived — the working poor, the homeless, the incarcerated, and all people living on the margins. SVdP’s model of service is person-to-person and is targeted to specific needs of each client. With the help of over 1,000 Vincentian volunteers who donate their time, talent, and resources to help neighbors in need, SVdP provides rapid and targeted assistance throughout San Mateo County, California. We also seek systemic change solutions to help move people out of poverty.

PROVIDE SHELTER AND BASIC NEEDS FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE. WHILE FOSTERING SELF- RESPECT AND HUMAN DIGNITY, SAMARITAN HOUSE WILL ENCOURAGE THE RESIDENT'S EFFORTS TO FIND EMPLOYMENT AND HOUSING.

Samaritan House helps people free themselves from domestic and sexual violence, human trafficking, and homelessness.

Founded in 1976, House of Ruth empowers women, children, and families to rebuild their lives and heal from trauma, abuse, and houselessness. Through 14 programs in Washington, DC, we serve women, children, and families who are striving to overcome childhood trauma, domestic violence, homelessness, mental health disorders, and poverty.  Our continuum of services encompasses enriched housing for families and single women; trauma-informed childcare; and free counseling to empower anyone, regardless of gender, who is a survivor of trauma and abuse.

The Alliance is responsible for planning and coordinating homeless services and housing options for all of Cook County outside of Chicago.  Established in 1997 as the Task Force on Homelessness, the group changed its name to the Alliance to End Homelessness in Suburban Cook County, formally incorporated in 2004 and secured nonprofit status in 2005. The Alliance leads a diverse network of partners working together to develop, fund, and implement solutions to end homelessness.

Resources for Human Development is a national human service nonprofit with the broadest possible service mission and specializes in creating innovative, quality services that support people of all abilities in person-centered, trauma-informed programs across the country.
