The mission of the Austin Area Urban League is to provide tools to African Americans and under-served populations to build a foundation for social and economic equity and equality.

We have a clear and noble mission: to care for pets, find them homes, and save lives. Every year, thousands of animals pass through our doors, each with their own story and need for love. Our organization operates under the vision that all pets deserve a healthy, happy life. This vision is put into action daily through a series of guiding principles designed to promote humane treatment, relieve suffering, and educate the community. Nestled in the heart of Northern Nevada, we stand as a beacon of hope and compassion for pets in need. As the state’s only open admission, high- save animal welfare organization, NHS helps nearly 18,000 pets each year. For over 90 years, our team of highly trained staff and volunteers have worked tirelessly to ensure that homeless pets get the care and second chance they deserve: a life filled with joy and health in a loving home. With a mission deeply rooted in care, kindness, and community engagement, we have become a cornerstone of humane treatment and animal welfare in the region.

Color Of Change is the nation’s largest online racial justice organization. We help people respond effectively to injustice in the world around us. As a national online force driven by more than 1.4 million members, we move decision-makers in corporations and government to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people in America. Our campaigns and initiatives win changes that matter. By designing strategies powerful enough to fight racism and injustice—in politics and culture, in the workplace and the economy, in criminal justice and community life, and wherever they exist—we are changing both the written and unwritten rules of society. We mobilize our members to end practices and systems that unfairly hold Black people back, and champion solutions that move us all forward.

From the website: First Tee – Raritan Valley’s mission is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values, and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. The First Tee program allows youth ages 5-18 to participate in the life skills experience, core values, and increase their golf skills. We currently offer program opportunities in Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, Somerset, Union, and Warren Counties of New Jersey. The New Jersey Youth Development Foundation (NJYDF) annually provides financial assistance, programs, and scholarships. This chapter currently operates programs at a variety of locations to include: Heron Glen Golf Course in Hunterdon County, Old Bridge Golf Course, Rutgers Golf Course, and Tamarack Golf Course in Middlesex County, PGA Tour Superstore in Morris County, Fiddler’s Elbow Country Club in Somerset County, and Ash Brook Golf Course, Galloping Hill Golf Course, and Shady Rest CC in Union County.

"The East Hampton Artists & Writers Annual Softball Game and its events are dedicated to building a community around the game and building a better game to serve the community. In the spirit of one of the longest continuing traditions on the East End, artists, writers, supporters and volunteers come together for entertainment, competition and fun to benefit local charities that provide vital human services. Help a Life Foundation is a premier center of academic excellence for supporting and educating disadvantaged gifted girls to be agents of change in an emerging Ethiopian society.

To find permanent, loving, homes for our rescued animals. To inform the public about pet overpopulation, promote sterilization and provide information for low-cost high-quality spay/neuter organizations.

To find a cure for pancreatic cancer in honor of Ron Hirshberg and the thousands of people who are diagnosed with this disease each year. To create a premier Pancreatic Cancer Center where all needs of pancreatic cancer patients can be met in one location with the most advanced treatment options. To be recognized as a patient support reference source for pancreatic cancer patients and their families. To fund projects and programs designed to improve patient care, treatment and, ultimately, pancreatic cancer survival rates. To integrate and unite generations, young and old, through physical fitness participation, while creating public awareness and raising money to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
